The institutional, political, and economic dimensions of the European integration process are situated at the heart of ELIAMEP’s research programmes and activities.
Their main objectives are the production of new and scientifically grounded knowledge in the field as well as the contribution to the better and deeper understanding of the constant interactions that take place between member-states, EU institutional bodies, and civil society.
Research activities focus on intra-EU developments but also cover the international role of the EU in a rapidly evolving multipolar world. Besides research, ELIAMEP lays great emphasis on the proper communication and wide dissemination of views and positions related to various aspects of the integration process. By means of publications, public events, seminars, and other training activities, ELIAMEP contributes substantially to the domestic and European public dialogue on the present and future of Europe.
