Panagiotis Kakis

Panagiotis Kakis is a final-year undergraduate student in Political Science and International Relations at the University of the Peloponnese, with a strong interest in European integration, EU governance, and European security and defence. At Europe Direct Attica, he has contributed to the organisation and delivery of EU-focused educational seminars and simulations, the drafting of policy briefs and learning materials, and youth-oriented digital communication. Beyond Europe Direct, he has been actively involved in cross-border initiatives, including European debate clubs, transnational youth dialogue projects and collaborations with civil society organisations in other EU member states, promoting European civic engagement. His main areas of engagement include EU governance, European security and defence, enlargement policy and participatory democracy, with a particular focus on bridging the gap between policy-making and public participation through simulations, civic debate and crisis exercises.
