Marina Nikolova has graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Media Communications of the Aristotle University (Thessaloniki) in 2004 and has been awarded a Master’s degree in Cultural studies from the Panteion University (Athens) in 2006. She is working as a Junior Research Fellow at ELIAMEP (Athens). Since 2010 she is assistant national coordinator for the European Web Site on Integration coordinated by the Migration Policy Group (MPG) in Brussels and sponsored by the European Commission. Since 2007, Marina Nikolova has been involved in several European research projects: “Treatment of Third Country Nationals at EU’s External Borders” commissioned by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and coordinated by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) (2011-2012); FRIM – Fundamental Rights Situation of Irregular Immigrants in the European Union conducted by FRA and ICMPD (2010); IDEA – Mediterranean and Eastern European Countries as New Migration Destinations (2007-2009). She has relevant to the research publications.
