On Tuesday, March 3rd 2025, ELIAMEP’s Wider Europe Programme organized a webinar in the framework of the project REWEU – (Re)uniting the East and West: Reflections on the 2004 EU enlargement titled “The Gender Dimension of EU Enlargement: Evidence, Practice, and Policy Perspectives” in cooperation with the research team of ELIAMEP’s project SEE-ERA.
The event focused on the paper that was prepared within the context of REWEU titled “Europe’s Unfinished Integration: The 2004 EU enlargement and women in Cyprus, Czechia, Latvia, and Poland”. The paper and relevant research was presented by one of the authors, Iwona Reichardt, from the lead organization for this specific work package, the College of Eastern Europe (KEW).
Following up on the presentation of the paper, Kyriaki Karydou and Christina Maraboutaki, researchers of ELIAMEP’s project SEE-ERA presented the project and its activities in a presentation titled “From Policy to Practice: The Role of SEE-ERA Communities of Practice in Advancing Gender Equality in EU Enlargement Contexts”.
