Evangelia Psychogiopoulou, ELIAMEP Researcher and Assistant Professor on EU institutions and policies at the University of Peloponnese, gave a presentation titled “Governing Culture through Funding in the EU” at the Annual Conference of the European Law Unbound Society, held on 25–27 September 2025 in Prague. The presentation was part of the panel “Governing through Funding in the EU”.
Her presentation considered the role of EU funding in shaping EU cultural governance. She provided an overview of EU funding measures encouraging cultural cooperation between Member States and their professionals and discussed their contribution to the shaping of EU cultural policy in terms of the objectives pursued, the actions eligible for funding and the European added value of EU support in this field. These points strike at the heart of REBOOT’s research agenda, considering the analysis carried out regarding the role of EU funding in supporting the competitiveness of EU audiovisual works in third countries as a key objective.
