The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is organising a workshop for secondary school teachers on Monday 3 November 2025, from 15:00 to 17:00, at ELIAMEP’s premises (Vasilissis Sofias 49, Athens).
The workshop focuses on the importance of active participation by citizens, especially young people and secondary school students, in shaping EU affairs. Under the scientific guidance of the Head of the European Programme ‘Ariane Condellis’ and through informative presentations by young people involved in relevant actions and initiatives, the participants will have the opportunity to dive into the possibilities and opportunities for participatory actions, so that they can pass them on to their students.
The ultimate goal is to lay the foundations for a constructive dialogue, which will be transferred to the classroom, in order to raise awareness and motivate students to engage with EU affairs.
The workshop will be conducted in Greek and in a hybrid format to allow teachers from all regions of Greece to participate, as well as Greek schools and Greek language departments abroad.
You can find the workshop’s draft agenda here.
Pre-registration is required due to limited places. Please find the registration form here.
Certificates of attendance will be awarded upon completion of the workshop.
The workshop is held as part of the EPACE-EU (Enhancing Public Awareness and Civic Engagement in the European Union) project, which is co-funded by the European Union.
