Dr Triantafyllos Karatrantos explains that the Iran-linked terrorist threat often manifests in the recruitment and financing of small criminal groups or individual perpetrators abroad. As he notes, networks connected to the Iranian regime, such as the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, use terrorism to achieve their objectives and have been accused by Western security authorities of employing methods of this kind to carry out or attempt attacks on Jewish targets and political opponents of the regime.
