The Monetary Policy Committee and the General Assembly meeting of the RESCUER project were held in Modane (France) from 16 to 18 May 2022 to discuss the findings of the RESCUER research team on the needs and demands of the First Responders. The twenty stakeholders of the project had the opportunity to attend the pilot planning.

RESCUER aims at designing and developing a First Responder centered technology toolkit that will empower the next-generation of First Responders (Fire-fighters, Search-and-rescue, Medics, Police) by enhancing their operational capacity and safety, particularly in adverse conditions, both environmental and infrastructure-wise.

ELIAMEP is exploring the legal and regulatory issues behind physical environment in the first responders’ domain, providing an analysis of the current European framework applicable to both research and the end-use of the project.

The ELIAMEP team consists of Prof. Panayotis Tsakonas, Coordinator and Senior Research, Mrs. Eirini Keremidou, Research Fellow (& Project Manager) and Dr. Triantafyllos Karatrantos, Research Fellow.

The RESCUER project is funded by HORIZON 2020. For more information on the project, please visit: http://rescuerproject.eu.
