The Director General of ELIAMEP, Professor Maria Gavouneli, participated in the roundtable discussion titled “Thessaloniki: The New Omphalos of the World,” which was organized with the aim of connecting the Indian, Middle Eastern, and European Economic Corridor with the Eastern Mediterranean and the Three Seas Initiative. The roundtable discussion was held on the initiative of the Delphi Economic Forum, the Hellenic American Leadership Council, the TIF-HELEXPO, and the newspaper Kathimerini on Friday, September 6, in Thessaloniki.
The discussion also included the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Papadopoulou, the Ambassador of the United States to the Hellenic Republic, George Tsunis, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Hellenic Republic, Rudrendra Tandon, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Hellenic Republic, Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, as well as experts from leading Think Tanks, the Atlantic Council and The Heritage Foundation, and the European External Action Service.
