The Delphi Forum Slemani was organised on June 6-7 with the participation of the highest political leadership of the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of Iraq, along with an exceptional assembly of international decision-makers, policymakers, and business leaders. This gathering convened at a time of profound transformation in the MENA region, a region of unparalleled geopolitical significance, vast economic potential, and abundant natural resources. Iraq, as one of the world’s most resource-rich nations, stands at a critical juncture in its economic and political evolution, while the Kurdistan Region remains a pillar of stability, safety, liberty, and religious coexistence in an otherwise turbulent landscape.

ELIAMEP was represented at the Forum by Ms. Ino Afentouli, Head of the Observatory of Geopolitics and Diplomacy, who participated at a panel discussion on “Order without consensus: Power, Fragmentation and the limits of Alignment” together with:

Malgorzata Bonikowska, President of the Centre for International Relations of Poland; Francois Heisburg, Special Advisor, Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS), France; Gregg Mills, Head of the Platform for African Democrats, board member and Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, UK.; Konstantin Valkov, Director of Special Projects & Lecturer, New Bulgarian University.
