Participation in the 6th Panhellenic Conference on the Sociology of Education

The 6^th Panhellenic Conference on the Sociology of Education took place from 23 to 25 May 2025 in Volos, with the participation of ELIAMEP researchers Irini Sifaki, Melina Davia and Dimitra Thliverou. Their presentation entitled “Youth filmmaking practices and perspectives for film education in Greece” examined their first conclusions from the research they conducted in the framework of WP5 of the REBOOT research project. The results of the survey highlight important data on the knowledge and perceptions of young people aged 12-24 about film education and on how film literacy could enhance their engagement with film, and/or be used as an educational tool to raise awareness of wider cultural and social issues.
