Dimitris Kollias administrates the ‘Ariane Condellis’ European Programme and its subsequent projects. He is a Junior Research Fellow focusing on affairs encapsulating the conceptions of European Strategic Autonomy and Europe’s orientation within the wider International and Geopolitical spectrum. He is a Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Greece & Cyprus scholarship alumni.
Dimitris holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Defence, Development and Diplomacy (peace and conflict studies) from Durham’s Global Security Institute (DGSi), Durham University, Trevelyan College. He obtained his BA qualifications in International and European Studies from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki. Dimitris is working towards a second MA in philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He is trained in the theory of International Relations, European Political History, International Law, Defence and Development Studies and Political Philosophy and Anthropology. An additional research topic is the IR dimension of ancient Greek philosophy, with a particular emphasis on pre-Socratic cosmology and the study of Thucydides.
In the past, he has worked in various national and transnational organisations in Greece and Britain where he accumulated significant professional experience in the field of international relations. He is also a core group member of the EU Youth Hub / ELIAMEP.
