Triantafyllos Karatrantos explains how the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran has once again foregrounded the multiple potential consequences of the prolonged instability that has rocked the region since the Hamas terrorist attack of October 7, 2023. Karatrantos points out that one of these consequences—which we have already observed, but which is likely to intensify in the near, and especially the medium, term—is the impact on Islamist terrorism and radicalization.
