On Wednesday, 28 May 2025, ELIAMEP hosted a high-level meeting with Members of the Indian Parliament, held at the Costas Apostolidis Conference Room. The delegation was comprised of representatives from across India’s political spectrum: Ms Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Mr Prem Chand Gupta (RJD), Mr Rajeev Rai (Samajwadi Party), Capt. Brijesh Chowta (BJP), Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal (AAP), and Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri, former Ambassador of India to the European Union and the United Nations.
The meeting served as a valuable platform for strategic dialogue on regional and global developments, with particular focus on strengthening the relationship between Greece and India. The presence of a cross-party delegation underscored the broad political consensus in India on the importance of fostering ties with Greece and the European Union, including the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and Greece’s potential role as a strategic gateway between East and West.
