Emmanuella Doussis and Othon Kaminiaris attended the final event of the ARSINOE project, which took place on the 23rd and 24th of September 2025 at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU in Brussels, Belgium. The event was hosted by the project lead, the University of Thessaly, and brought together project partners, policymakers, and researchers to reflect on the project’s legacy and future directions.
The two-day programme opened with welcome remarks by the University of Thessaly Rector, Mr. Charalambos Billinis, and the Project Coordinator, Prof. Chrysi Laspidou, followed by the screening of the trailer of the Grains of Change documentary. Distinguished guests, including Mr. Ioannis Vrailas, Ambassador at the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, and Mr. Dimitris Tsiodras, Member of the European Parliament (EPP, Greece), underlined the importance of fostering dialogue on climate resilience and sustainability at the European level. Sessions, including one, titled From Innovation to Transformation, with the participation of Emmanuella Doussis, Head of the ELIAMEP Climate and Sustainability Programme, highlighted ARSINOE’s case studies and evidence-based recommendations for the future.
The second day focused on the project’s innovations and tools: the ARSINOE Serious Game, the KnowledgeGraph, citizen science activities around the MINKA platform, as well as exchanges with sister projects.
