3rd Transatlantic Periscope Summit & Think Tank Forum, Warsaw

On May 7-9, 2025, the 3rd Transatlantic Periscope Summit was held in Warsaw, organized by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the Centre for International Relations (Centrum Stosunków Międzynarodowych) on the sidelines of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. ELIAMEP participates as a partner in the Transatlantic Periscope, a project of Bertelsmann Foundation, together with other partners from the EU and the UK. Against the backdrop of growing geopolitical uncertainty, the Summit made one thing clear: transatlantic and intra-European engagement is more important than ever.

Moreover, from May 8-11, the Think Tank Forum (Warsaw, Torun) brought together global think tanks to discuss Europe’s key challenges –from security and transatlantic ties to innovation and EU reform. The conference also featured the presentation of the report “A Better Europe,” prepared by experts from the European Observatory at the Centre for International Relations. This publication represents Poland’s contribution to the discussion on the future of the EU and complements reports by Mario Draghi and Enrico Letta, among others.
