The fifth joint Greece-Turkey public opinion survey took place between 17 and 23 July 2023, following the successive elections that dominated the political agenda in Greece and Turkey during the first half of the year. Among other topics, the aim of the fifth poll was to capture the views and perceptions of the Greek and Turkish public opinion regarding the earthquake diplomacy and the response to natural disasters in the two countries.
The poll was supported by diaNEOsis, designed by ELIAMEP and Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) and conducted by MRB and KONDA in Greece and Turkey respectively with the participation of 1004 Greek and 1589 Turkish citizens. This followed the steps of the first four joint polls that took place in February and December 2021, May and November 2022, with the participation of 1,022 Greek and 1,163 Turkish citizens in the first, 1,008 Greek and 2,731 Turkish citizens in the second, 1,003 Greek and 1,786 Turkish citizens in the third, and 1,003 Greek and 2,148 Turkish citizens in the fourth.
