Cheryl Novak holds a MSt in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and a MSc in Sustainability and Quality in the Marine Industry from the University of Piraeus.

She is a Research Associate at ELIAMEP working in the fields of sustainability and migration, and is a researcher and project manager in the ATHENA project, which focuses on improving the social and economic integration outcomes of female migrants through entrepreneurship, and is also a researcher in the MirreM project, which aims to improve the data and policies related to irregular migration.

Her research interests are Ocean Governance, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, Migration, and Female Empowerment.

Cheryl is also a Member of the Board of Directors at the Hellenic Coeliacs Society and a corporate consultant. In the recent past she worked as Director General of Education Activities at the EPLO, Advisor at the National Hellenic Research Foundation and as a correspondent, editor and journalist for media outlets such as Thomson Reuters.
