“What is happening in the United States concerns us. Not just because the US remains ‘the indispensable nation’. But because the erosion of a democracy in the hands of a demagogue has wider consequences,” wrote George Pagoulatos in an article for newspaper “Kathimerini”. Pagoulatos also highlights that “the personality of a leader would not matter as much if the American system did not place as much executive power in the hands of its President.”
