Antonis Kamaras points out that a quarter of a century after Greece joined the eurozone in 2001, the country is entering the next phase of European integration, as it moves from a monetary union to a defense union. He describes the challenge for the country as equivalent to that of the Simitis government that led Greece into the eurozone.
