Emmanuella Doussis writes about the concession agreements conveying the right to seek and exploit hydrocarbons in Epirus. She goes on to explain why, in addition to delaying our decoupling from fossil fuels, new infrastructure of this sort may well fail to contribute to our addressing the current energy crisis, given that the length of time and amount of investment they require renders uncertain the issue of their amortization.
