Mary Drosopulos
Research Fellow (2020-2021), Intercultural & human rights education; Reconciliation in the Western Balkans, Euro-Arab Youth Dialogue, Cultural mediation & conflict transformationDr. Mary Drosopulos (PhD Cross-cultural/Translation studies, MA Conference Interpreting, BA English Department) is a multilingual youthworker and researcher, with a special focus on intercultural and human rights education, reconciliation in the Western Balkans, Euro-Arab Youth Dialogue, cultural mediation and conflict transformation. She has been a member of the Trainers’ pool of the Council of Europe since 2012 and an external partner (facilitator, consultant or rapporteur) for international organizations, such as the Youth Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe, SALTO South Eastern Europe, as well as local authorities, private companies and regional NGOs. Having lived and worked in various parts of the world, among which post-conflict or disadvantaged societies, she has conducted research for prominent publishers and international institutions (Routledge, EU-CoE Youth Partnership, SALTO, Kosovo Foundation For Open Society, British Council etc), while her findings have been featured in international congresses, journals and reports. She has multifaceted experience in large projects in Europe, Asia and Africa supported by international bodies such as the United Nations, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, the League of Arab States, the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports etc. Articles of hers can be found in ‘Academia’, as well as her blog in the Huffington Post Greece.
