Cheryl Novak

Cheryl Novak is a Research Associate at ELIAMEP, working in the fields of sustainability, migration, the blue economy, and female empowerment.

She is a researcher in the MirreM project, which focuses on improving the data and policy frameworks related to irregular migration, and previously worked as a researcher and project manager in the ATHENA project, aimed at enhancing the social and economic integration of female migrants through entrepreneurship.

In addition to her research roles, Cheryl is the Senior Editor at To Vima International Edition – Wall Street Journal Publishing Partnership and has previously held the position of Director General of Education Activities at the EPLO and worked as an editor and journalist for major media outlets, including Thomson Reuters.

Cheryl holds a MSt in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, a MSc in Sustainability and Quality in the Marine Industry from the University of Piraeus, and several ISO certifications.
