Οn Tuesday, 23 September, ELIAMEP hosted Gérard Mestrallet, Special Envoy of the French President Emmanuel Macron for IMEC (India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor), for an informal discussion on the most recent developments regarding the Corridor. The discussion was moderated by Dr Elena Lazarou, Director General of ELIAMEP. The discussion centered on the recent developments surrounding the realization of the IMEC, the opportunities and challenges faced by the participating countries, and the broader international negotiations and incidents that influence the project’s evolution. Moreover, Assc. Prof. Gavalas and Dr Dikaios, presented the key points of their policy paper “Connecting Opportunities: Greece’s Strategic Role in the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC)”, allowing the discussion to delve into specific interests, both national and European.
