On Tuesday, November 26th, ELIAMEP organized a closed discussion on the challenges and impacts of plastic pollution in seas and oceans, as well as ways to address it, with the participation of relevant stakeholders, academics, policy-makers and civil society representatives. The event was held on the occasion of the publication of the policy paper titled “Plastic Pollution in Seas and Oceans: Challenges and Responses“, written for ELIAMEP by Konstantinos Topouzelis, Associate Professor, Department of Marine Sciences, University of the Aegean and Ifigeneia Tsakalogianni, Environmental Lawyer, LL.M, MSc.
The discussion was moderated by Emmanuella Doussis, Professor of international institutions at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Senior Policy Advisor & Head of the Climate and Sustainability Programme at ELIAMEP.
