There is a strong economic rational of Greece’s interest in the 3SI, as Greece seeks to finance the development of infrastructure projects following several years of a deep debt crisis. Cross-border connectivity with Southeast and Central European economies is vital for regional cohesion and development especially of the northern part of the country.
