International organizations have long been the space where Greece engages with other states; sometimes to uphold its values, sometimes to find support in difficult times. From the UN and the EU to NATO, the OECD, the Council of Europe and the OSCE, the Greek presence has been active, complex and revealing of how a small country can influence significant international developments. And yet, despite this long journey, Greek participation in international organizations has not been the subject of a comprehensive study to date. The book aims to fill this gap, highlighting the multiple aspects and challenges of Greek foreign policy through the lens of international organizations. With contributions from scholars across fields and the personal testimonies of representatives and executives of international organizations, the book offers a rare, multidisciplinary view of how diplomacy is practiced within the institutional architecture of global governance and of how Greece participates in it.

The book entitled “Greece in International Organizations” was co-edited by Emmanuella Doussis;  Antonia Zervaki; Antonis Klapsis and Manolis Koumas.

It is published by Papadopoulos Publications.
