ELIAMEP, along with the Institut Français de Grèce and the French Embassy in Greece, organized a closed-door discussion on 28 May, with Ms. Catherine Colonna, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of France on “The Eastern Mediterranean: a strategic area for France and Greece”.

The discussion was held under the Chatham House Rule which allowed an engaging high-level exchange of views focusing on the Eastern Mediterranean as a strategic area for France and Greece. The discussion explored the evolving strategic partnership between France and Greece, regional security and geopolitical developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, and broader developments within the EU in the current international context.
