Anna Kandyla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Mass Media from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, a Master of Arts in Political Behaviour from the University of Essex, and a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute.
Her work engages with contemporary debates on governance and democracy, with a particular focus on the European Union. Her main research interests include EU governance, EU institutions and policymaking, as well as EU media and cultural policies, with emphasis on the audiovisual sector.
Anna has held research positions at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) at the University of Amsterdam, the European University Institute, and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). She has participated in several collaborative research projects funded by the EU.
Her articles have been published in Journal of Common Market StudiesComparative European Politics, the International Journal of Media and Cultural Politics and the Central European Journal of Communication.
