Bledar Feta, Research Fellow for the South-East Europe Programme, was a guest of Kalli Zarali on the TV show “SYNORA” (ERT3) where he presented for the first time on Greek public television the research project “GEMS – Gaming Ecosystem as a Multi-layered Security Threat“, which aims to contribute to the fight against the rapid spread of extremism across the gaming ecosystem.
Mr. Feta spoke about this phenomenon which, although relatively unknown, is particularly worrying, since as the number of crises on the planet increases, so does the demand for fighters. Among other things, Mr. Feta spoke about how state and non-state actors, including Russia, infiltrate digital gaming platforms and manage to recruit fighters for their own purposes.
