Writing in the Special Issue of Ta Nea dedicated to the International Conference co-staged by the University of Athens and ELIAMEP to mark the centenary of the Treaty of Lausanne Panayotis Tsakonas analyses why the Treaty of Lausanne still shows the way after a hundred years and points out that it remains for the strong leaderships that will emerge after the elections in the two countries to demonstrate the political will to do so.
