In a recent interview with Nuria Sans Sanchez of Spain’s Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE), Dr Emmanuel Comte, Senior Research Fellow on ELIAMEP’s Ariane Condellis European Programme, discussed the influence of the Pylos maritime tragedy on Greece’s election campaigns. Dr Comte analysed the suspension of election campaigning, the increasing focus on immigration policy in the public conversation, and the potential impact on the results. He also highlighted the diverging immigration policies of the two main parties, New Democracy and Syriza.
