“The project began in 2011 with the support of the UN, the World Bank and other countries. However, the problem for Egypt is that during the construction of the dam on the Blue Nile, its water, or part of it, will be inaccessible for some years. The consequences for Egypt will be catastrophic,” writes Antonis Trifyllis in his article for the Sunday edition of “VIMA”.
