Migration once again – By G. Kaklikis
“Our stance in Evros has sent a message to Turkey and perhaps this will stop Ankara from trying to suffocate not only ‘annoying’ Greece but also ‘a Europe indifferent to Turkish sensitivities and demands’, by pushing thousands of migrants and refugees forward,” explained George Kaklikis in an article for the newspaper TA NEA. “Many are waiting for Turkey to revisit its tactic of sending migrants and refugees to the Greek islands,” wrote Kaklikis, noting that the threat has certainly not passed but is still there even if Greece and its partners are more vigilant.
