The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) is organizing the second training seminar on Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in Higher Education Institutions on 23-24 February 2023. The seminar is organized in the framework of the project “Tackling gender inequalities in research and higher education in Greece (GENDRHED)”, which is funded by the Active citizens fund programme.

In the past two years, most research institutes in Greece have formed Gender Equality Plans (GEPs). The implementation of GEPs is a basic precondition for research institutes in order to receive funding for research and other projects under the European Commission’s “Horizon Europe” programme (2021-2026).

Following the first seminar held on 30 June and 1 July 2022, the purpose of the workshop taking place on 23-24 February is to transfer additional know-how to members of the university administration, as well as to the academic and research community, in order to support the implementation, monitoring and sustainability of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs). It will also provide an opportunity for the exchange of experiences and good practices between Greek universities. The seminar will take place online and will last for 1.5 days (Thursday 23 February 10.00 – 15.10, and Friday 24 February 10.00 – 13.15). It is the second of two training workshops addressed to universities in Greece.

The programme is available here.

*The seminar will be held mainly in Greek.
