The “EU Negotiation Simulation+” event will be conducted on 1 and 2 December, co-organized by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), the MSc in International Negotiations of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and the Mercury Negotiation Academy (MNA). This event is part of the European programme “Enhancing Public Awareness and Civic Engagement in the EU – EPACE-EU” co-funded by the European Union and ELIAMEP.

The first part will take place on Friday 1 December 2023 and will be simulation of the Council of the EU (Ministers of Trade) at the premises of the Postgraduate Programmes of the AUEB (47A Evelpidon and Lefkados) with the participation of postgraduate students from the Master’s International Negotiations programme in the framework of the course “International Economic Relations” taught by Mr. George Papagiannis.

The second part will be conducted at the “Impact Hub Athens” on Saturday 2 December 2023 and will comprise a Negotiation Competition with two games involving EU Negotiations. These simulations will be based on real events relevant to the topics of the European Union.

Through scenarios developed exclusively for this competition, 80 participants from the MSc “International Negotiations” and the MNA Society, divided into groups of 4, will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge of the international negotiations’ setting and advance their negotiation skills through practical experience.
