In the context of the EPACE-EU (Enhancing Public Awareness and Civic Engagement in the EU) programme, the Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) in collaboration with ANTENNA MEDIA LAB organised a tailor-made seminar for journalists, entitled “Structure, function of the EU and Media Coverage”. The aim of the seminar was to familiarize aspiring journalists with the EU’s architecture and function. The seminar was conducted on 28th of November 2023, at ANTENNA MEDIA LAB.

The speakers of the seminar comprised Spyros Blavoukos, Professor at the Department of International and European Economic Studies, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and Head of the EU Institutions and Policy Programme at ELIAMEP, along with Yiannis Papageorgiou, journalist and member of ESIEA.

The EPACE-EU (Enhancing Public Awareness and Civic Engagement in the EU) programme seeks to increase citizens’ awareness and promote civic participation in deliberative democratic processes. The programme aims to enhance citizens’ understanding of the EU policy-making dynamics, especially young people, in an engaging and pedagogically appropriate way.
