The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) organized on January 29, 2024 a workshop on Comparative Media Research and Monitoring in Europe:  Lessons Learned and Ways Forward.

The workshop aimed at presenting the findings of comparative research projects and studies on media monitoring in Europe and to discuss the challenges and prospects facing deliberative communication, pluralism and the protection of fundamental rights in the context of digitalisation and media convergence.

The first session was about the MEDIADELCOM collaborative research project and in which ELIAMEP participates as a partner. Martín Oller Alonso, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Salamanca and Dina Vozab, Assistant Professor at the Department of Media and Communication at the University of Zagreb presented MEDIADELCOM’s comparative methodologies and main findings.

The workshop was organized in the framework of the MEDIADELCOM project which assesses risks and opportunities concerning deliberative communication in Europe. MEDIADELCOM is funded by the European Commission, Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
