Michalis Mathioulakis participaed in a panel titled “Energy Security: intergovernmental agreements, international projects, and the geopolitical equilibrium in the Eastern Mediterranean” together with Noam Katz, Ambassador of Israel to the Hellenic Republic, Valentin Poriazov, Ambassador of Bulgaria to the Hellenic Republic, and Yannis Maniatis, Professor, University of Piraeus and f. Minister of Environment, Energy & Climate Change of Greece.

The presentation in the panel analyzed the mechanisms under which the strategic interests of states in the Eastern Mediterranean relate to energy security in the region, and eventually determine the bilateral and multilateral energy agreements and energy projects that will (or will not) materialize.
