At Atlantis Waterpark in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) has participated in the Pilot 1 of the HORIZON project APPRAISE from 09 to 11 May 2023.
Over 40 members of the project consortium came together to test more than 35 technological solutions that have been developed within the project since it began in September 2021.
The APPRAISE H2020 consortium tested the technological solutions for the early detection of threats and improved cooperation between public and private security practitioners.
Practical evaluation is hugely important from the project team’s perspective. Provided tools have to both respond to the needs of the end users and be easy to maintain and implement.
These tools create just part of the APPRAISE framework, a framework that aims to provide the early detection of cyber and physical security threats on public spaces.
Being the leaders of WP2 on Social, Legal, Ethical and Privacy Issues, Irene Keremidou and Prof. Panayotis Tsakonas have managed on behalf of ELIAMEP the pilots ethical and legal constraints.
