On October 5, 2023, the Transatlantic Periscope Summit was held in Madrid, organized by the Bertelsmann Foundation, at the premises of the Elcano Royal Institute. ELIAMEP participates as a partner in the Transatlantic Periscope, a project of Bertelsmann Foundation, together with other partners from the EU and the UK. During the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to discuss the state of the project, present the bilateral relations of each country with the US, and reflect on future steps.
Ambassador Julissa Reynoso Pantaleón, United States Ambassador to Spain, gave a speech on the bilateral relations between the US and Spain, as well as transatlantic relations.
Ms Athina Fatsea participated in the meeting on behalf of ELIAMEP.
