Ritsa Panagiotou, Senior Research Fellow at the South-East Europe Programme of ELIAMEP, co-authored with Nikolaos Tzifakis the chapter “Greece’s Changing Role in the Western Balkans” on the edited volume “Greek Foreign Policy” which was published by Papazisis Publications.

The volume consists of thirty articles and the authors are Greek academics and researchers working both in Greece and abroad. It seeks to fill the gap in the existing literature on Greek foreign policy from the beginning of the new millennium until today, with the outbreak of the financial and economic crisis in Greece as a milestone in between. It also examines the main choices and expectations of Greek foreign policy in the 21st century. The individual chapters highlight the character and dynamics of Greek foreign policy through a broad perspective and offer a critical examination of traditional and alternative views of Greek foreign policy and strategy.
