Ritsa Panagiotou, Senior Research Fellow at the South-East Europe Programme of ELIAMEP, participated in the Scientific Conference “The Challenges of Liberal Democracy Today” which was organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and the Centre for Political Research of Panteion University.
Dr. Panagiotou spoke on the panel “Regional Dynamics and Ideological Challenges: Eastern Mediterranean Tensions, Balkan Geopolitics, and Multiculturalism in Contemporary Politics”. She analyzed the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Western Balkans as well as the Russian affect in the region.
