Dr. George Tzogopoulos writes, in his article published in the English Edition of Kathimerini, that for the first time after the financial crisis of 2010, Greece is being seen in a positive way. Tzogopoulos says that the determination of Premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis to impose lockdown measures in mid March and stop the spread of Covid-19 has been internationally acknowledged. The US media, in particular, have devoted time and space to explain the efficiency of Greece’s response to the pandemic and make comparisons with other eurozone countries. George Tzogopoulos concludes that it is now the Greek government’s responsibility to keep up the momentum and prevent setbacks as it has happened in the past.
