George Pagoulatos, in an interview with the French edition of the online magazine slate.fr, explains how after ten years of an unending economic crisis, Greeks have learned how to sensibly deal with major challenges and discipline themselves when necessary, and this has made all the difference. Pagoulatos finds that choosing Sotiris Tsiodras, technocrat and infectious disease specialist, to spearhead the government’s response to Covid-19 has also positively influenced how Greeks accepted the harsh measures adopted.
