Ambassador ad hon. George Kaklikis wrote an article for the Sunday edition of the newspaper “Ethnos”. He analyzed Turkey’s political stance and suggested that “simultaneous to the vigilance practiced by the Greek government, there is a clear overemphasis placed upon the Turkish threat among Greeks. This is an unequal presentation of the Turkish threat, perceived by Ankara as a success.” Kaklikis emphasizes that the moment when certain insecurities begin to circulate within Greek society and then perceived by the Turkish side inaccurately, we should re-access our foreign policy approach.
