Energy security and cyber security were the focus of the – online – summit of experts, coordinated by the British Embassy in Athens and ELIAMEP. Ambassador of the UK to Greece Kate Smith CMG and George Pagoulatos co-authored an article for Greek newspaper “Kathimerini”, discussing how this is a seminal moment for Greek-British cooperation. “The United Kingdom might have left the European Union but our two countries have a long history of close cooperation, something we wish to preserve and enhance. Our work with ELIAMEP has shown that security against non-traditional threats is one of the most opportune fields upon which we can write the next chapter of our relationship,” write Smith and Pagoulatos.
