George Pagoulatos wrote an article for the Sunday edition of Greek newspaper “Kathimerini”, tackling the question of what is significant in historical terms between all that has been happening in Greece, Europe, and the world. What will be worth a mention in the future history books on the 21st century and which one of the trends currently underway will actually develop into long-term historical trends that (in hindsight) defined the flow of history, instead of simply being a temporary spark, a negligible deviation or an insignificant anecdote to the historian of tomorrow?
