Developments in European Defence and Security: Challenges and Prospects for Greek Defence Policy

The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP), with the support of the National Defence General Staff and NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division, organizes a thematic discussion on Wednesday – October 31, 2018, entitled:

“Developments in European Defence and Security: Challenges and Prospects for Greek Defence Policy”

The aim of the discussion is to highlight recent developments in European defence and security, emphasizing the promotion of the Permanent Structured Cooperation on security and defence (PESCO) and the goals set by the NATO Summit in Brussels. At the same time, the challenges and opportunities created for Greece and national defence policy will be discussed in this new environment.

The event is organized in the framework of the Program “NΑΤΟ: Active Debate on Defence and Security”, which is supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division. The objective of the Program is to create opportunities for dialogue with professionals who have an important role in shaping and implementing security and defence policies.
