On 15 May 2013 the Embassy of Canada and the Crisis Observatory of ELIAMEP organised a roundatable discussion with Professor David Zussman (Jarislowsky Chair in Public Sector Management and Governance, University of Ottawa), expert in public administration and administrative reform, entitled: ‘Managing government and policy reform in hard times: the Canadian experience’. Professor Zussman presented the major administrative reform of the public sector made in the early 1990’s in Canada, in which he played an active role. The presentation of Professor Zussman focused on the key management tools and techniques used but also on the policy approach followed in the reform effort that contributed to its final success.
